I've had three cars in the last four years, and I'm tired of having to get used to the gas cap being on the other side of each car.

No. Cars from the same marque may share a frame, but they are all slightly different, and a lot of times their gas tanks are different sizes or in different locations on the car, depending on the model. Sometimes cars utilize fuel-safe fuel cells or two tanks...or a main tank and a reserve. The engineers design the gas tank filler neck the way they do for a reason.

If you're so upset about it, buy yourself a Series III Jaguar XJ6. That car has two gas tanks (one on each side). You'll never be confused about which side to fill again.

I think it is entertaining to watch someone pull up to the gas pump and realize that the intake is on the wrong side. So they drive around and get out again to realize the made the same mistake again.

But fun aside it would make a lot more sense if it would be on the same side of every car and then the gas station could help out by putting directions for entry and exit.

in some circumcision it is necessary that u put the intake hose on different sides ma bay they put something in the way of the gas tank so they had to but they build the cars so i think they should be able to put it any where . there's a little arrow on your gas Gage well in fords at least

If all makers put the tank on the same side, it would make life hell at the pumps. ( everyone would be fighting for the same side of the pump)

I prefer it on the drivers side. I think it makes sense to be there.

I would only buy cars that have it on the driver's side.
