Remember when the 16th Round games started, the major slogan was " No to racism"; well in Europ it's bullsh...Did you ever wonder what Zidane was told? Cause his North African background, that guy has worked hard, 10 times harder than any other great European player. Growing up as a son of a North African immigrant in the streets of Marseille and make it all the way up to be the most expensive player in Soccer History is not that easy. there is one thing Zidane can't tolerate is some dirty cheap Italian player being racist with him. I'm sure the French people are not worried about the world cup they lost as they are about Zidane. In fact he 'll be just fine. He is going to retire as a true soccer god. Anyway, those crybabies Italians are the only soccer fans in the world that still throwing banana skins on black players, even on those who play for the Italian ligua. Shame!!!
You also need to know a little bit of soccer history. The last decent world cup game that the Italian had played was the 1982 final aginst Germany. That was when Italy had real men like Dino Zoff, Paolo Rossi, Alex Altobelli...Now days when it comes to soccer, they have actors, crybabies and whiners...they do all it takes to win even if it takes cheating, crying, falling and being racist towards other none European players. No mather how things went ugly for zidane, he will always be remembered as a True Soccer God. Did Italy win the world cup, yes they did. did they play better than the French, not at all and they knew that they had no chance absolutly no chance, nada!!! to beat France unless they drag them to penalty kicks.
I'm not gonna say anthing more than what I've already said and for Zidane,These acheivments speak proudly of him.

Have no one watched exactly what happened to both of them before the incident? I saw Zidane might have touched Materazzi p/part and he responded by saying hey do you like me?

Sailor, I totally agree with what you stated.
Materazzi, the big bad boy Italian, obviously knew something had to go Italy's way in the extra time that was given, so he shot up his mouth at a retiring legend.
Who can cry about it? I was rooting for the French over those flopping Italians and figured who should care about France winning it? They already had made fools of Italy in Euro 2000 with less than 90 seconds to go in the match. The strike from Wiltord showed the Italians that France plays with heart and not a swim suit.
The Italians are a shame and just shows what FIFA has become and it disgusts me.

Zidane acted dumb.What a stupid way to leave . Materazzi must have said something I can't believe it was because he just tugged his shirt.
but nonetheless he should have made better judgement ,it was in fact the turning point of the game,
But I think this was just italy's world cup .
you can blame italy they desrve to win .Zidane shoul;d have known better he butt the man in his chest .
he could have just said something back.

i didn't know yet...but looking at zizou reaction, marco must be said something bad...because for me , i really seldom to see zizou lose control like that...and marco had little 'naughty' record about his attitude...even though he's great defender...
