I believe that when Voldemort went to kill Harry when he was a baby, he intended to turn him into an inferi (living dead) and place his horcrux within him, but something went wrong.

Ah, but Nagini is a horcrux, which also breaks the rules. Voldy cares nothing for rules. The locket, by the way, was found in Book 5 when they were cleaning the Black house of all the dark objects that had belonged to Sirius' mother. They just do not know it yet. I believe that Harry, through the Potter line, is the heir of Gryffindor. V wanted "something belonging to Ravenclaw or Gryffindor." What better "trophy" than an heir? He planned on killing Harry, turning him into an inferi and housing a horcrux in him. Snape is innocent; Dumbledore ordered him to kill him. Dumbledore would never beg for his life. Snape & Voldy will die in book 7. Snape dies by saving harry, & Voldy realizes he is a spy and kills him, buying Harry time to finish Voldy off.

thats a pretty interesting theory u have got there, but as u can see that voldemort wants to kill harry(destroy him) and if he does that he would also destroy the seventh horcrux in him(harry), as assumed by you. therefore i certainly belive that the 7th horcrux should be nagini, as dumbuldore himself has said that the snake underlines the slytherin connection(parseltounge) and enhances lord voldemort's mystique.
also i think that snape and draco malfoy will die in the final book along with voldy. but there is slight chance that harry has to kill himself while killing voldemort. as far as dumbeldore is concerned, he did not order snape to kill him. snape was a spy for voldy and dumbledore will guide harry in the seventh book as a ghost or through a potrait(like the other headmasters) & help in finishing voldy.

I don't think Harry's scar is a Horcrux. We already either know what they are or we have a good idea.
The Horcruxes
1. DIARY - destroyed
2. RING - destroyed
3. Slytherin's LOCKET - unknown where & IF destroyed yet (I think it has)
4. Hufflepuff's CUP - unknown whereabouts
5. Nagini - wherever Voldie stashed her
6. Something of Ravenclaw's OR Gryffindor's - unknown What & Where (Something of Ravenclaw's is more likely)
Rules of a Horcrux
1.Object must be collectible, as a trophy and chosen with some care
2. Object must have a powerful Magical history
3. Objects that, in themselves, have a certain grandeur
Jo has said the sorting hat is not a horcrux, because horcruxes do not call attention to themselves. Even though Harry does not call attention to himself, he has a lot of attention on him. I doubt he would make a good horcrux.
Harry is basically a half blood, and ol' Voldy wouldn't consider him good enough to hold a part of his soul.

As 2 others above me stated, optimal vacation and The secrets and techniques of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel sequence are impressive. inspite of the actuality that, optimal vacation has no magic, and (fantastically interior the later books) it acts way extra YA romance than sci-fi awesomeness. attempt The pretend Prince (Jennifer A Nielson), Artemis poultry (Eoin Colfer), The Princess Bride (William Goldman), and Inkheart (Cornelia Funke). And it is a e book perhaps aimed extra at little ones, yet A tale darkish and Grimm is staggering. that is basically a lot extra bloody sequence of unlucky activities in holding with fairy memories. that is truly good. i do not understand precisely what style of books your pal likes, yet i'm a 13 year old female, and those are a number of my favorites.

yes, i got to the same conclusion as Dawn S that the locket was the one in the 5th book after I combed through the books looking for clues... however, i do not agree that a part of Voldemort's soul is within Harry... it might be fitting with Harry having some of Voldemort's powers, but it would be impossible for him to accomplish... Voldemort lost his powers the first time he saw Harry, remember? After that, Harry would not just let Voldemort keep a piece of soul within him...

My niece and I have discussed this and I think Neville is the chosen one and Harry has just been a red herring the whole time to mislead Voldemort from the truth that Neville is the one who can kill V.

harry is not a horcrux
his mothers soul is in him remember "he has his mothers eyes - and the eyes are a window to the soul - which prevented harry from being a horcrux
the locket is at 12 grimmauld place
and the mrs wealey's aunt muriel's tiara that used to belong to rowenta ravenclaw is likely a horcrux
