my son wants to start playing tennis more and I really don't have any where at home he can just hit against a wall. I want to put together something he can use to practice hitting the ball. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks!

My first concern would be thickness. The thicker the wall the better the rebound, it's more solid. Thin hitting walls make a lot of noise. Putting the supports behind closer together should have the same effect.

Just use the tree closest to the driveway. It teaches accuracy because you have to hit it so squarely every time or you'll be chasing the ball a lot, not the mention it's free!
