When i try to click on sleep, half the time it doesn't even work. I have to play a song, then click on sleep again to turn my ipod off?? Is there another solution to this???

ahh....**** me in the asshole...........You can turn ipod off by just holding down the play button. If you wanna fix your problem with the sleep control try restarting your ipod (hold menu + select buttons) then when the apple symbol shows up on the screen,, you have to hit another combination of buttons (im not sure what those are, and it varies by the generation of ipod you own. Just google ipod diagnostics to figure out how to do it) Once you ipod is in diagnostics mode, you can have the ipod run various tests on itself. Hopefully it will be able to locate the problem, or perhaps you've just dropped it one too many times :)

yeah, its happened to me a few times too. its a bit of a pain really. just play a game or something then try turning it off. works for me. its annoying but hey, i cant fault the iPod otherwise! hehe

Yes there is a solution. Sansa Sandisk. Haven't had a single problem with mine.

ye there is a solution to this, press and hold the play and pause switch in the bottom.
