WOW... Chappelle wins by a long shot. In only 1 season, a mere few months, he grabbed the media's attention and is now known everywhere. He was so underappreciated in the small roles he landed in movies before he got his big break on the show. Now we all know how funny and talented he is. I think Mencia's comedy is targeted towards Mexicans which can only last for so long. His jokes are tired and he just works so hard for the punchiline. It's too lame for my taste. But Chappelle appeals to Whites, Blacks, Asian, Hispanics... He's got it all. I think the reason why he left was because he wasnt going to be given enough artistic freedom in the 3rd season. You cant tell Dave what's funny.. He knows.. and what he does works. Who doesnt know his face, his voice, his catch phrases. He's a media icon while Mencia is a passing phase. No contest Chappelle 1 Mencia 0.

Both are extreme. But Mencia brings new material to American audiences. Chappele basically grabbed the 50 million and ran with it. "I'm rich Bi_ch" is the modo from Rappers to Hollywood. I've only seen Mencia brag about his big boob wife and crazy cat. So Mencia right now has shown character from a loony perspective. Then Mencia "the beaner" is my pick.

Dave Chappelle. he's the funniest. They delivered in Carlos Mencia even as Dave mysteriously took a even as off a pair of years in the past. Being of hispanic heritage, i assumed Carlos became extremely humorous in the starting up, yet after a lengthy time period his comedy purely were given previous. Now Dave Chappelle, he continually has new cloth. And he's fairly humorous without being indignant and loud like Carlos is.

Mencia.
His broad spectrum of topics keeps my attention.
His hillarious put-downs for all races is refreshing.
His relevant but light hearted reflections on political issues has a "focusing effect" of what is important.
His "go with the flow" let's you know he is in it for show no political agenda, little dogma effect, being entertaining is his main goal!
His ability to attempt to be respectful to his cullture and religion while still reflecting about its weaknesses is always a sign of character at least who ever is writing the stuff.
