Yes, Midol just contains ibuprofen and a mild muscle relaxant. It would be an ideal way for someone to treat a back ache with an over-the-counter drug. However, if your back ache doesn't improve or worsens, I would advise you to see you physician for a more substantial treatment.

Yes!! Midol is a woman's best kept secret. Seriously, it works sooooo much better than things like Tylenol and such. I take it even when I'm not on my period for body pain type situations. However, it's not very affective for headaches because that's a blood-vessel issue. But backaches, cramped muscles, etc.. it works better than the typical pain relievers.
