To me these types of bands are just wanna-be talentless crap bands who are only thriving because the rock scene just plain sucks right now. Anybody else agree?

yes. there are talented rock bands out there but they aren't as popular because they aren't played on pop stations like these terrible bands. this is a problem, because america at large believes that this crap is rock music, when it's just talentless crap.
Hey what's wrong if we like slipknot? They're so much better than these bands it's not even funny. At least their guitarists and drummer have talent.

You're not alone! There are so many crappy bands out there who sound and look like 5cent-back and "Mud." Like the Foo Fighters (Who is Foo and why are they fighting?) and System of a Down, I cannot stand those vocalists. Don't even get me started on those "Scream-o" bands who sound good musically until they open their mouths.
Velvet Revolver, Audioslave, RHCP are among the talented bands out there who do the name of Rock N' Roll justice. I'm sure a new scene will come along soon and personally I can't wait.

Puddle of Mudd's okay, but I haven't heard anything new from them in years. (Actually, you should check out "Blurry" on the Ace Combat 5 trailer...one of the better trailers I've seen on video games or movies.)
Nickelback has always sucked, and I'm Canadian. With the exception of "How You Remind Me", their whole first album was based off the same scale with different lyrics. Their second album's a little better, and they used different scales in different songs, but all the radio stations still overplay their crap.
Nickelback and Billy Talent are the disgrace of Canadian music.

aww...dont worry, u r by far not the only one....i hate that crap....and i totally agree that they are wanna be talentless crap bands....andthe really sad part is i used to listen to that stuff before i figured out what music was right for me...but thats a time in my life i woulf like to ignore and forget about....
what pisses me off even more is when they compare good bands like RHCP, nirvana, pearl jam, alice in chains, etc (90s rock bands) to them.....i hate that...they are nothing alike...and thats a horrible thing to do to compare them...its like saying a banana looks like an apple
