I don't know. You have a point. **Some Rap music is nasty & sucks NOW. But, rap in the 1990's is way better. Not all Rap is bad. But, answer this - When is Rock N Roll and Country going to fade away???
Some recommendations for good rap and rappers are:
Tupac Shakur (He has some really good songs like Dear Mama, Brenda's got a Baby, Keep ya head up)
Eminem (Lose Yourself - 8 Mile Soundtrack - Oscar winning song)
Notorious B.I.G - Mo' Money Mo' Problems
And they're are a couple of others. Rap is Good!!!

Great question. I think that most rap is written by simple minded people that don't have a clue what life is all about. They glamorize thug life. I've heard that some of the rappers have even had bullet holes surgically applied so it looks like they've been shot. I guess rap will only go away when white middle class boys quit buying into it. RAP IS CRAP!

You obvisously dislike rap music but it is a projection of the culture of poor black kid trying to come into their own without going through the main stream society that has alway denegraded them. It is also an expression of social protest much like the white suburban rockers or punk bands.
Rap like all other venues will eventually fade away or be changed by the next generation. You would be much better served if you could come to understand why people who are into rap, like this kind of entertainment.
When are ingnorant people going to fade away?
