I heard this on Atlanta's 790AM this morning with Ike Newkirk, just about every whacko called to say they thought he was still alive and faked his death to avoid prosecution. It's a load of crap.

no, Bush could have merley pardoned him, what it is going to do, hurt his approval ratings, hurt him in the next election.
the stree of the trial and the stress of going to prison must have been too much, or of course someone who was afriad he would talk decided to make sure he did not.

It hadn't crossed my mind but I bet your right. Faking his death would have been a good idea. But on the other hand he had a lot on his conscious and that could lead someone to premature death.
