Breast Implants are definitely a long term commitment, I would even say a lifelong commitment, and not something to be done without major thought and research.

I had my implants done in March of 2002. I was 21 at the time, an average B cup. I actually worked as a professional exotic dancer for 4 years before I even got my implants, so it certainly wasn't something I "needed". I did a little bit of research, mostly just through word of mouth through other dancers I worked with. I eventually decided to go for a very large DD. It ended up being somewhere around 450 ccs each. Shockingly the first doctor I consulted agreeded to do over 650ccs, which seeing how big I am now is insane, I can't believe that a doctor would agree to even do that, especially to a first time patient. Thankfully I didn't go through with that doctor.

Anyway, after the surgery I was surprised by how little it hurt, although this is in high contrast to what most women experience, which is extreme, unbearable pain. My lessened pain after surgery may have been due to the fact that my implants were placed over my chest muscles, not beneath. This makes the surgery less invasive, the healing process quicker, and the pain lessened, but what most people don't realise is that down the road your breasts aren't going to be as "perky" as the girl who had them placed beneath the muscle. If you are truely hoping for a natural look and aren't going for some insane DD size this may be exactly the thing for you, however as I said my implants are very large, and I wanted that unnatural, unmoving, forever perky look. I had many people comment after my surgery how they couldn't believe that I had implants, that it looked so natural, which as I said is a plus when going over the muscle, but not the look I personally had hoped for.

It just depends on the look you are going for and the size you want. If you are truely desiring a large D or anything beyond that I HIGHLY suggest waiting and going with a decent sized C. You can always go bigger and look amazing, but it's really hard to go smaller and still look good (the extra stretched out skin to deal with, yuck). If money is an issue, and you think you won't be able to afford to go bigger if you don't like the smaller size, keep in mind that it's recommended that implants be replaced every 10 years anyway, and I'm sure in those 10 years you'll be able to come up with the money for a second surgery if you really decide you want to go bigger. Also more and more surgeons are offering financing plans these days, making revisions easier if truely needed/desired.

Another issue with going too big that not many women think about beforehand is the lack of clothing choices. Buying bras at Victoria's Secret or La Perla? Forget it, I actually have to go to Lane Bryant! Same type of thing goes for tops - it's very hard to find tops that fit right, especially if you're into labels and higher end clothing - most of those companies don't make clothing for large breasted women as that's not the common body type in the fashion industry.

I suggest going to as many different doctors as you possible can visit, every single surgeon in your area wouldn't be over doing it. Request a consultation. Any plastic surgeon who is worth anything will give consultations for free. If you are asked to pay for the consultation I wouldn't even bother with that doctor, just be sure to ask ahead of time and move on if they do charge. Also make sure that your surgeon is accedited by the American Society for Plastic Surgery. Do your research and don't just go with the first doctor you talk to who agrees to scedule you in next week and who offers you a much cheaper rate than the rest. This is an obvious sign that you need to stay away from that doctor. Make sure you are absolutely, 110% comfortable with your doctor. If anything about him, his staff or his office seems "off" to you, then keep on looking.

Other important things to consider - your age. Your breasts will continue to grow into your mid twenties. I would suggest waiting until 24 or 25 until your body truely fills out. Also, do you plan on having any children? If so I also *highly* suggest waiting to have your surgery until after you are completely done having children. Pregnancy and breastfeeding can wreck havoc and pain on your breasts - and it's especially hard if you already have implants like I did. I just had a baby in September of 2005, and had my surgery in March of 2002. I really wish I would have waited. Although my breasts still look decent, it was especially painful during pregnancy when your breasts swell naturally. The added stress and pressure on my breasts was more than I could bare at times, and then there's the issue of my breasts loosening (stretching) up even more, because regardless of whether you have implants or not after a pregnancy your breasts aren't going to be as full as they once were. This is why choosing to have your surgery when you're done having children is the best choice.

There's also the issue with breastfeeding. Some women with implants are able to breastfeed just fine, but the majority have some sort of problem, mostly a decreased production of milk. I was able to produce some milk, but decided not to breastfeed because of a combination of several factors, part of which being my implants.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that I have almost completely lost sensation in the bottom half of my breasts, both of them, and even part of the nipple. I have also lost all sensation around my scars which are underneath my breasts. My husband can poke at the bottom half of my breats with a semi-sharp object and I'll have no idea where he is poking or even which breast he is touching. Loss of sensation is a lot more common than the doctors will tell you. It varies from a very light loss to full loss, and there's just no way to predict if it will happen to you or not; although I believe that going larger obviously involves more cutting and moving of tissues, and thus more damage to nerves.

So, do your research, wait until after you've had children and you're a little older, and don't go for an insane size - my best advice for you. :)

If I were you I wouldn't, but if you do, don't go much bigger. Large breasts are very uncomforatable. Mine give me back pain, make it hard to have good posture (they pull your shoulders down unless you consciously hold yourself differently) and will sag later on. And if you're going to have children, I definately wouldn't get a boob job until your done, you breasts can change size (up or down) differently after each child. I was a D cup before my daughter was born, now I'm in a FF (no, I'm not fat, same pants size as before) and my daughter is 3 and there are not signs of them going any where. If you do have breast surgury, be careful and don't over do it, but the best thing would be to be happy with yourself. I'd trade placed with you in less than half a heartbeat!

Well the ones I have had most fun with are the D's. But D's have become short term answers for some woman, they eventually get them reduced with C's. After the change over the skin around the boob is saggy and wrinkled. Better read up on past experienced woman. But I like the D's....

when considering a boob job, consider the fact that you're increasing your risk for cancer.
IMO, A full B is good enough. And if your partner doesn't like it, he's superficial.

Breast implants are a serious thing. I haven't had mine done, but close friends have and have had mixed reactions. Consider the consequences like losing feeling in the nipple, scars that won't go away, infections, leakage... Just carefully evaluate your choice and make sure it's what you really want to do and that you're doing it for YOU and no one else!

My wife had one and they are INCREDIBLE!!! Make sure you get a good, reputable surgeon and follow his instructions to the letter. They will give you (and those whom you share them with) years of fun and enjoyment. She's had no problems with loss of feeling or anything.. .so be careful.

Remember 50% of the doctors practicing medicine in America graduated in the bottom half of their class.

My wife's are silicone and the stuff you hear about silicone was obviously invented for the sake of the law suit. Mrs. has had zero problems with her and she's had them since some time in the eighties.

Go for it. A grateful nation will salute you for helping to beautify America.

Get breast implanst surgery in India.Cosmetic Surgery is very cheap in India. There is one company that is very famous in India that arranges cosmetic surgery for foreigners in India. They are called the Forerunners Healthcare.I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories.

I have also read that they arrange financing for american and canadian patients as cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance or by NHS in UK.They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. The cost savings are incredible.

As a doctor i personally believe that your cosmetic surgery can be easily handled in India as the quality of healthcare available here is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.If you still havent got your surgery done, you are better off getting it done in India.

my cousin got her breast reduction/liposculpture/buttoc... lift surgery in India through the forerunners healthcare.she is more than very happy with the results.she just paid 30% of the amount she was quoted in USA and is all praise fore this forerunners healthcare company.i personally have seen the wondeful results and am particularly impressed with the kind of quality care she got from this company

If I were you, I would try doing push-ups while concentrating on the pectoral muscle underneath you breasts... heavy weights are supposed to increase the size of a muscle.
You know those weight lifter guys? If you put a little bit of fat on their huge breasts you'd have a good sized one.
