You have nothing to feel guilty about. Your mother chose to make the decisions that she did. Your mother chose to be with this lazy man. You did not make her do anything, she did whatever of her own free will.

Your mom is the greatest mom on earth. Whatever reason for raising whether as a son or a brother she has decided and sacrificed to raise you. She vowed to be with you and not let you go into foster homes that not many can do. You should not be feeling guilty because of things that is beyond your control instead you should let this guilty feeling loose as your mom is full of hopes in you. This is a chance for you to show your love in return. As her lazy husband has given her much burden then it comes to your duty to shower her with love and care and shelter. She needs your love. Your turn to help her to give her a place in your heart.

Absolutely Not........ How do you know she would of had a better life? With out you she wouldn't have anything don't you see... she adopted you because she wanted you..... If she didn't have you she would have probably still picked a lazy husband, that has nothing to do with you..... Her taste in men is her own doing.....She is so lucky to have you and you are lucky to have her....and your life is a gift... do something with it and make it better for you and your mom.... you can be and do anything you want..... it's all up to you to make your life the best it can be.....you sound like a wonderful caring person, good luck to you.....

Stop your downward cycle. The only person in control of your life your emotions is you. You have to believe you are better than all this. Your very existance with or without a person in your life is the ultimate importance. You can not determine how she lives and no matter what decisions she makes they are her own. Rise above it, realize you are great person, set goals to be better than that and do it. Most importantly step back a minute and smile and take pride in yourself.
