My goodness, this to show that the French is not a racist country [which by means anyone can represent the country] besides the players mostly French born, or have lived in France for a long time. Don't Promote racism okay, the WorldCup 2006 FiFa has just made it clear on the "Say No To Racism" before every game.

Cheers!

I really can't believe that you've said such a thing. It's very disrespectful and shows a complete lack of ignorance. Be prepared for very harsh criticism? You say that France is in Europe, so what? You expect it to only have Caucasian people. What about South Africa and many other parts of Africa? Aren't there Arabic and Caucasian people on the African continent? BTW, Zidane is not Caucasian, he is of Arabic descent. What do you have to say about that? One of the greatest players in history, you think French people are ashamed he's of a different ethnicity? Study some history and you'll learn about a thing called colonisation!

France is in Europe of that you are right but like most conquering nation they have satellite colonies & most of them are in Africa.
Two thirds of Africa is biligual to multiligual French being the 2 or 1st Language. Race has nothing to do with it, it is the governing body that determines your mother land.
If American was still a soverign nation of England they could have taken players and added them to the team with no issues as they would be all one nation, this would just give them a bigger pool of talent to look through. That is what France has...more access to good talent.

To the respondants of this question - what makes you think that the black players in the french team are all from 'the colonies'?! Didn't it occur to you that many were probably born in France as second or third generation. They are French! Do you look at black people on US football/basketball teams and think 'They're from the colonies!' Of course not.....

You're an idiot but I will try and explain it to you. France colonize half of Africa, it's colonies have the provision of it's citizens have dual (that means 2) citizenship. Zidane the greatest French player is the son of Algerian parents who immigrated to France they always had French citizenship. You're too stupid to look past skin color to realize everybody at some point is an immigrant.

Obviously they are not good enough. Without recruiting from the Colonies they probably would have not qualified. That is the French way, eh.
They did not deserve to win anyway!
