The other answers are good ones. A word of caution. Please avoid any sellers claiming to offer deep discounts on Disney tickets. They are generally not reliable. Many of these are stolen or counterfeited tickets. (I am a travel agent that specializes in Disney vacations, and I have heard a lot of horror stories).
Check with AAA, your employer, and look at www.shadesofgreen.org if your are in the military. Shades of Green used to be the Disney Inn before the military began to lease it from Disney. They offer deep discounts for military folks not only at Shades of Green but at other Disney hotels. They also offer military discounts at some off-site hotels. They do discount Disney tickets for military personel. (Shades of Green also operates as a travel agency for people in the service).
You can get discounted tickets from Disney or your travel agent. This requires that your purchase your tickets ahead of time. If is not a huge discount, but still worthwhile, and you will save money over the gate prices.

I know you get a discount if you are a resident of Florida, or at least the ticket is cheaper. Check AAA, they usually have good deals, or just call Walt Disney World.

being a florida resident gets you some, but depending on the hotel you stay, even outside the kingdom, they include tickets with hotel stays for so many days. check your sunday travel section in the paper along with the orlando commerace department of entertainment.
