I have a RB Pacu about 3" long and two turtles about 1" and 1.5" long. One is a stinkpot turtle and the other is a Red Eared Slider. Also, I've heard that turtles don't do well with bubbles in the tank. Is this true? I'd GREATLY apprieciate some answers. I'm desperate! Thanks a lot!

Also, I'm not planning to keep them together for more than 3 weeks. We are getting a MUCH larger tank for the pacu and they just need to be together for that little time.

Yes i think they do...but both are aggressive in the tank so they may not....Do you have abig tank because pacus get really big...so do turtles.

Its not a good idea to put them together because turtles are very messy and the quality of the water will be too poor for the fish to thrive in. I have never heard about bubbles being bad for turtles however they dont really need them. Be sure that you have at least a 100 gallon tank for your pacu to move into and at least a 55 for your turtles a 100 would be better for them as well. Good Luck!

I don't think that anyone answering this question is really familiar with red belly pacus. They will pick at your turtles until your turtles die. Pacus are the closest to parannas that you can get legally. If you love your turtles DO NOT do this.

Your turtles are going to get big. Unless you intend on keeping them in a pond with fish then they should be kept alone. They create too much waste in a contained environment for the fish to handle. High ammonia makes your fishies eyes and gills burn. They need to be housed separately.

Most turtles will eat fish...so you might need to look up you turtles and see what they like to eat and how big. I wanted to put some turtles in my pond but they would eat my Koi and goldfish.
