My suggestion would be to find a sunscreen instead of heading straight for the tanning oil, especially if you burn easily. Tanning oil doesn't contain sunscreen, therefore the harmful UV rays are not protected from your skin. It's better to be safe and earn a slow, but beautiful tan then to end up with skin cancer. The sun can be very dangerous, so be cautious when it comes to your skin and your health.

I use Australian Gold. It is for both outdoor and tanning bed use. It has a nice fragrance and is gentle for sensitive skin also.

"Motor oil", what a great answer. I wish I was quick enough to have thought that one up. Good job.
My wife and I use WalMart's No Ad oil and it rocks. Turns your skin a dark reddish black.
And it's cheap!!
