Since it is a retirement home, if you have scrubs, wear them, if not wear something comfortable yet conservative which means a plain yet semi-dressed sweater, comfortable dress pants that are not a low-waist tight fight, just in case if you do sit down the sweater doesn't rise up your back and the old people dont notice it.

Well I would guess since your asking your probably working more in the office area, I would go with a pantsuit for the first day, nice white blouse, some nice 3" heels, some pearls or nice necklace.

it's my first day of work tomorrow too! but not at a retirement home. maybe you should wear something comfortable yet professional such as black pants, dress shoes, and a nice blouse. yup, it's that easy!

It all depends on what job you're doing. If it's office attire, I would wear like a black pair of pants, black small pumps or flats, and a 2 piece sweater deal of some sort. Good luck to you!!

wear something you feel comfortable in, but not like a pair of denim jeans and a tee shirt. something like a casual dress but not flashy. Well i guess it reall depends on what exactly you are going to do.

Clothes. Don't forget your clothes.
Don't wear your best outfit. Someone will probably vomit onnit (it's not their fault).
Wear something you can wash. Wear something comfortable that goes with comfortable shoes. Cotton.

It depends on what your duties are. When you went for your job interview you probably saw how your coworkers are dressed, try to emulate them and you can't go wrong.
