Yes, sometimes we just need a break or time apart, lets say mashed potato's were your absolute favorite food in the whole world. Yes, you could eat them every day....to a point , eventually you would get tired of mashed potato's even though they were your favorite. So you would either try fried or boiled or no potato's for awhile yet they would still be your favorite. relationships are like that too! Sometimes we all just need a break too. There are also lots of other factors in which could be causing the negelect, like problems at work, stress, emotional or physical problems. Men too go thru a menopause "midlife" crisis as well, time and communication are your answer.

I would not consider that normal behavior, neglect and rejection in any relationship would not be normal. Things might certainly cool off after ten and a half years, but not to that point. There could be any number of underlying causes for his behavior. Open communication might be one way to uncover the root of the problems.

Common but not normal. Sometimes we men get caught up work, hobbies, whatever and we honestly don't realize that it happening. Catch him at the right time and make sure he knows you are trying to help find a solution not just fussing to be heard. If that doesn't work you have some decisions that only you can make. Good Luck. Families are everything.

Have you tried talking to him? Find out why he's not interested anymore. Maybe a get-away weekend could rekindle the romance. Have you tried setting up a romantic evening for just you two? You know send the kids off to friends, and have a nice dinner, maybe a bath for two...
