It is possible but go for the internet business, which requires less of your time and the one that will not make you feel headache with web designing, or which require IT knowledge. I researched "data entry" and I wasn't impressed at all.
But before I suggest how I make good money from home and most of my suggestions were taken from a website that I found from a search on the web. It is important for me to say, that in no way do I profit from posting this link ..I just used some of the suggestions from this link to make money at home..
(1) A popular way to make money from your computer is to have your own blog and or website, design it properly and your website or blog will pay for itself sooner or later. This is a great form of "passive stream of income" because the internet is open 24 hours a day and seven days a week...
(2) Sell items on the Internet. I started out by selling extra items that I had at home, now I go to yard sales, check out discount bins at stores, etc and resell them for a profit on the net.
(3) This is the easiest way (for me) to make extra money (believe it or not), I make pocket change by "reading emails. I just click on a email link and wait for a timer to expire, close the link and move onto the next email. I spend about a 1/2 hour a night doing this

Yes it is possible to make money from home.

You can start your own business with your own idea.
You can affiliate yourself with someone else/company.
Or you can partner with someone.

Whatever you do it will be WORK. There is no such thing as easy money. Everything requires work no matter what you decide to do.
