You can never truly get rid of them (I have them, too, and I wish I could). But, you can try to reduce them and/or cover them up.

Freckles are your body's natural reaction to to the sun...essentially the UV rays cause damage and the skin repairs that damage and the result in some people is freckles (or when you get older sometimes age spots). The obvious solution to this is to stay out of the sun and/or reduce the impact of the sun via sun protection/SPF. You should use a daily moisturizers w/ SPF 15 or higher - any brand will do. SPF 30 or higher is even better - try Neutrogena for that, but again any brand will do. You should wear every day, even when you are indoors because the UV rays do pass through windows, including your car (which is why most people have slightly more damage on the left side of their face). By using SPF, you will reduce freckles plus prevent additional ones from forming.

In addition, there are some lotions in the marketplace that will help you slightly reduce freckles. Most antiaging moisturizers will do, but in particular, try Clarins Bright Plus serum and/or moisturizer (I use it) and Olay Regenerist Tone Enhancer (new - specifically made to reduce age spots). Antioxidants help reduce freckles, especially Vitamin C, so products that contain those will help the most. (also, vitamins will probably help too - work it from the inside & outside simultaneously).

In the meantime, you may want to try some coverup/makeup, but that may not be the best solution for a guy. You could try Almay's new Smart Shade which is like a tinted moisturizer. It has color beads that transform into your skintone so it doesn't look like your wearing makeup. I've never seen it on a guy, but you could see if it works.

Good luck!

If your skin has a light smattering of freckles, pat some lime juice or buttermilk onto the freckles and then leave it on till it dries. Radish is also useful in combating freckles. A combination of four tablespoons of grated radish and a few drops of vinegar makes a good bleaching paste. You can also boil grated horseradish in milk to make a mild bleach. Fresh green beans boiled and then mashed can be applied as a poultice. Rum is also helpful, but the idea is not to drink it, but to mix two ounces of lemon juice to one ounce of rum and then apply this mixture to your freckles.

If you need to use something stronger for those stubborn freckles, a stronger bleach can be prepared by boiling an ounce of horseradish in half a litre of butttermilk for about an hour. Strain the solution and then apply on your freckles. Another strong bleaching agent can be concocted by mixing sixty grains of borax powder with five ounces of lemon juice. Apply this paste at bedtime.

A good tip to keep in mind is that any fruit or vegetable that contains Vitamin C can be used to bleach freckles.

Good luck babe xx

When I was a kid my uncle George told me that if I got up early in the morning and rubbed my face in the dew on the grass, my freckles would go a way! I got upwent out and rubbed my face on the ground and waited for a couple of days and nothing happened so I did it again. Only this time I rubbed so hard I rubbed the hide off of my nose!lol I was about 6 or7 at the time.Well all I got was a big scab on my nose for a few days, and 40 yrs later I still have freckles!! But I like them now!
Shortly after the dew incedent my great-greanddad who I inherited the freckles from , told me that they were angel kisses, and the more freckles you had the more the angels loved you! Of course I was thinking gee grandpa the angels must really love you!!!
Don't get rid of them, they are a big part of who you are! They are great!!

You can't get rid of freckles but there is one thing you can do to diminish their appearance especially if you have a fair complexion. Go to a good tanning salon. By good, I mean one that doesn't just want your money but knows what they're talking about. Start low on the time you spend under the lamps - say 5 to 7 minutes two to three times a week and increase slowly. Once your natural skin becomes darker, the freckles don't seem as pronounced. I know it works because my daughter has done it and she looks fantastic.
