I am so sorry to hear about your mother. You can call social security administration office in your county on Monday to set up an appointment.

My husband is permanently disabled, he and my children receive these benefits. And find out the difference between the 2 payment types. There is SSI and then another one...! don't remember the name.

Good luck, and my prayers are with you and your brother.

Take his SS #, birth certificate, and the death cert. to the SS office near you. They will only pay up to his 18th birthday.
