This site has a lot of information on how to spot a stroke and what to do. I have always been told to ask the person their name, tell them to smile and to repeat a simple sentence. Hope this helps!

1. Ask the person to smile
2. Ask the person to raise both arms
3. Ask the person to speak a simple sentence.

If they have trouble with any of these, it could be a stroke. Call 911.

Whenever your uncertain about something as serious as a stroke please contact your physician immediately because if you have a stroke, medication must be given in a a short time period to lessen the effects of a not so good outcome. Please visit an urgent treatment facility or an ER ASAP.
