The object was not joking. If you have a CD-R with stuff on it you want to go away permanently, the answer is mechanical injury of your favorite type. Fire; solvents; power saws; hammers; chisels; scribble all over the face with a permanent marker pin; or simply take out all your frustrations in some way of your own ingenuity.
if there are other files you want to keep, transfer them to your computer before murdering the CD, and then write them to a new CD of your choice.

You cannot delete the contents off of a CD-R if you've already burned stuff onto it. You can only delete content off a CD-RW.
