I personally liked it a lot... but think the 1st part was better.
(Oh,& I WILL report you if you feel the need to insult me just because I'm the 6th person to ask a question based on said film).---Other than that, fire away, & don't be afraid to insult the MOVIE if you weren't impressed.

I thought it was a really good movie, it seemed like they relyed on the special effects a little more this time, but it didn't kill the movie. The story was good and I loved that they brought back ALL the pricipal characters, even barbosa. That really made it uniqe. But on the other hand, it was terribly long, and for a movie that ran 2 and a half hours, they sure didn't resolve much (actually anything) They whole movie just presented problems and I understand that was the point so they can make a third but its a little unsettling to go see a movie and be THAT unsatisfied! THey could have rapped something up, SOMETHING!

I guess all in all, it was a winner. it really made me look forward to the third

well, i'm sure you're the millionth person asking a question on it, but that's fine. hey, I asked a couple myself.

let's see...I thought it was very good. I liked Will turner a lot more in this one. Elizabeth seemed like...nicer or more innocent or something in this one. Like more girlish maybe, but not so much by the end of the movie. I liked the fact that it had a lot of different monsters, and all that stuff. The humor was just as good. I was pleasanly surprised, especially the scene when will and everybody is trapped in the ball, and the classical music is playing while they're trying to get out. that was hilarious. I also like commodore norington more in the movie; he looks better, and his eyebrows make some funny expressions, lol, but in a good way. The thing I didn't like was the violence, even though, the parts I didn't like they didn't actually show it. Like when the pirates are each holding up a weapon over different men, and then in the backround you hear the weapons dropping into their bodies...I don't like that kind of stuff. And, although I can't think of any specific thing that was better in the first one, but I still liked the first one better.

I hope you understood at least half of that, and that it wasn't too long. :)

The beginning had me really interested with the rain and the soldiers bursting down the doors on the wedding day<>. But it had me worried that they kept trying to rhyme the humor in this one with many of the jokes from the first and it wasn't usually successful (With the exception of "HIDE THE RUM")

It DID get better as it went on and eventually had me laughing pretty hard, the character of Captain Jack is priceless. Awesome sword fights, interesting characters, and good plot although it seemed a little jumbled at times(or perhaps i was busy admiring Capt. Jack) I like the Commodore's character and the part he is playing in the new plot. And Davey Jones's face was hard to look at even on into the movie so kudos to the Special Effects guys! The movie does leave in a really drastic cliff hanger but I'm now rooting for Elizabeth and Jack to end up together!!

Oh yes, two things that slightly traumatized me about this movie: Johnny Depp being eaten by a giant squid thing with teeth, and THE POOR DOG!! What happened to it??! I hope he's back in the third movie to show he miraculously outran the natives and didnt get roasted!!!

I loved the first one, but the second was just awful. First of all, I hate when movies end on cliffhangers. This isn't a soap opera, this is a film, and even though it's made to have a sequel, you can still make it a movie on it's own. Look at the greatest series of all time: The Godfather I, II, and III. They are all inter-related, yet they all have individual openings and closings. Even the Spiderman and X-Men franchises don't abuse the sequels as much as Dead Man's Chest does. This is probably also why there was so much random crap in the movie. Who was that voodoo woman?? What's with the jar of dirt??? They made such a big deal about how Davy Jones can't go on land, and all Capt. Jack uses it for is to put his heart in it. So random. And Norrington really did not have to be in this one...his character was absolutely useless. There were far too many cheesy references to the first movie ("Elizabeth is coming...hide the rum"..."Why is the rum always gone"...etc).
I hated it. Could be the worst sequel of all time, when compared to how awesome the first one was.

It was a little slow at times, but really interesting towards the end. I enjoyed as a whole. I think the part where Will cathces Elizabeth kissing Jack will lead to a good conflict in the next movie. And that twist in the end with Captain Barbosa coming back! Thought he was dead! What the hell happened? The third movie should be awesome!

i seriously think it was a great movie. i liked it better than the first one. there was more comedy in it. but the movie did feel rushed

i dont get why others are saying all this crap about how long it is. ITS THE SAME EXACT LENGTH AS THE FIRST ONE! ~sorry but that just really bugs me.

i completely go with Hannah. Also it just wouldnt be right for her to marry jack. because if it wasnt for the first one being a big hit the second one wouldnt have came along and changed the plot of their relationship. So i think will and elizabeth will be together forever. (really made me sad seeing will watch them~it was like awwww! orlando is such a hottie!)

I loved it but the ending bothered me. I want the third one to come out right now so I can figure out what happens!

I almost cried at the end when Will sees Elizabeth in a liplock with Jack. Will has done everything to save her and know he thinks she likes Jack better than him. He just wants her to be happy and that makes me very sad at times. I know that Elizabeth will marry Will in the third one (who could say no to those eyes)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
