I would call the potential employer and ask them to schedule an interview when you are not scheduled to work. Explain yourself saying that you do not think it is right for you to miss your other job while hunting for another. An employer will look favorably on this as it shows your work ethics to them. Most employers are willing to work with a good potential candidate and schedule an interview when it is convenient to both parties. I wouldn't try to call in sick, or give some lame excuse to your current employer as your potential employer may call about references.
I wish you luck!

This is difficult to answer without knowing more details, but I'll try to help.
It really depends on what you are bringing to the table. Do you have a skill or qualification that will put you on the inside track for the new position? As a business owner, I would make an exception for a prospective employee who I felt had the potential to be an outstanding addition to my team. If, however, you are one of several potential applicants with the same type of qualifications, I would not be inclined to take extraordinary steps to accomodate your schedule.
If there is any way you can take the time off from your current job without being terminated, it would be the best solution. Perhaps you could talk to your supervisor and arrange a trade off? Perhaps work a Saturday or late evening shift in exchange for an afternoon off? You don't have to tell the reason, only that you have a personal business matter that must be attended. Even if you are fairly new, if you are a good employee and have been reliable, your boss is likely to be understanding.
As for telling your potential employer that you can't take time off for an interview, I would not recommend it. In a competitive job market, unless you clearly stand out above the crowd, it's better not to make requests for special accomodations. Your potential employer will definitely make note of it, and it's not likely to be in your favor.

If the potential employer is really interested in you - they will reschedule your interview for a time that will be better for you. Or you should explain to your current employer that you have had this appointment for over a month and need a couple of hours off to take care of it - let the current employer know that you will be back to complete your work shift - or ask if you could make that up some how. You may just need to be totally honest with the current one - everyone deserves a better paying job and should understand.

First off, don't cry just because no one answers your question.. geez drama much? Have you tried to make arrangements with the new job? How about telling them you have an appointment to go to? You could say it's a prior arrangement and can you work over/day off/come in early to make up the time. I'm not sure where you stand on stretching the truth, but you really don't have to give much information. Just talk to your boss, let them know it's a prior arrangment, and you can't reschedule. Let them know you'll make up the time any way possible, and then do it.

seem once you're skipped over in immediately's society, there is not something you're able to do. the only factor you are able to attempt is to maintain your head held extreme because of the fact there are alot of Muslim females such as you who're harm(because of the fact of stereotypes) yet once you carry your head extreme, those human beings will easily come again and talk with you. I even have seen alot of Muslim females cry yet do not be unhappy because of the fact often times this is like that. merely be your self and supply them their area and that they'll see they have been incorrect. and that i might like having a Muslim chum by ability of how, because of the fact maximum of them are misunderstood, yet rather i come across them worrying. Now wipe those tears, hears a handkerchief. :)
