I'm not an expert in how computers work but my computer cannot play DVDs.It is able to play audio CDs but when I insert a DVD it does not respond at all.It is a DELL.What can I do to solve this problem?

I have never played a DVD on it before and when I insert a DVD no error message appears.It's as if I didnot even put anything inside.

verify that you have a DVD rom installed in your computer. If not buy one and install it. If you have a DVD rom you will need to install DVD player software. This is usually included in any DVD movie you can buy at the store

i was having this same problem and its because most dvds now and days have a certain kind of protection on them when they are inserted into computers cuz of bootlegging....usually the dvd comes with a program u can download to be able to view the movie

Get a dvd player maybe your computer is unable to play dvds or u should call the computer company and ask them well good luck!

Have you been able to play DVDs in their before? Are there any dialog boxes which give error messages? If so, why are they? We need more information to be able to help you. Yet more specifics about the computer you have, model number serial number etc.

You need to install a DVD decoder. Windows does not include it. A bought computer will have one. If you build one or format it won't have one.

you must go have the cd for power point and you puy the cd in the windows and instally the power dvd?
