she could have mites! my rats had this problem..you need to take her to the vet. there is an antibiotic for it, and a good washing is in order! of course it may be hard to bath a hamster so some really good gloves are necessary in case she may bite. try to keep water and soap away from her face. you vet may have some shampoo for her, or you can use Dawn. just DO NOT get it in her face at all....if she aspirates it she could drown in it. also..try to make it as quick as possible, hamsters are easily stressed!

EDITED:
just thought of something else. (if it is mites) her cage is FULL of them...look at her bedding or food bowl. mites are TINY little specks they are a yellowish/whitish color. the size of a pin prick. you will need to get rid of all her bedding, and clean her cage out very very good! i usually just bought a new cage and started over in case i missed some eggs.
also..the area where you hamster is may have mites as well, including the carpet...YOU could end up getting them so its a good idea to have someone spray that area...just in case.

I would have to see the hammie to tell what it is, but if its what some call wood fleas that come from wood bedding there is a spray that will take care of it. It's called 8 in 1 small animal spray.. If it's mites you need to see a vet.

could be mites... Call a vet and see what dog/cat mite meds would be mild enough for a hamster.
