Back in the late 70's early 80 I worked at the Opryland Hotel, The job that I had allowed me to meet several people! Johnny and June Cash,Miss June was the nicest famous person I have ever met! I met Charlie Daniels, and some of the guys from his band,Doug Henning the magician and his pet tiger Ruffles! Don Henley from the Eagles. I met Minnesota Fat's and actually played pool with him, I sucked so bad that he told me to find another hobby.lol
I think that Minnesota and Ruffles were my fav's!
Most recently I met Carter Osterhouse from Trading Spaces and Emeril!

Many years ago, Mr. T. had is own show. I believe he was a private investigator in the show. He was filming down the hall from where I worked. My son and I were in the hallway and he came up to my son and led him right into the pool hall where they were shooting the scene. Afterward Mr.T. actually took the time to talk to my son about school, drugs and quite a few other things. Granted I didn't spend much time with him but Mr. T. made a 10 year old feel extra special.

I have meet several "famous people" but then again I am not impressed by anyone's fame or fortune. I do have photos that were taken and given to me . But I feel no one is better in my book then anyone else. It is like Ozzy, sure famous , but even he puts on his pants one leg at a time , and still has to go to the bathroom for himself. And I have been to Cassia De Campa , next to John Lennon old house in west palm beach . But I was no impressed by anyone's wealth at anytime . The bigger the house the more to clean .

The band - Jethro Tull.
A friend of mine's cousin (Doan) is the drummer in the band. When they were here in concert several years ago she got us backstage passes. We ended up eating dinner that night with Ian Anderson, his son James, and Doan Perry.
It happened to be Doan's birthday. We had wine and a lot of VERY spicy Indian food. My friend had baked Doan some special chocolate chip cookies with peppers in them. Before curtain, he spoke with his wife back in California - wishing him a happy birthday. As the curtain rose, he started looking for his cousin in the audience. He knew where she was supposed to be. Towards the front ... on the end of a row. But he spotted me first. It seems I look a LOT like his wife. (My friend had once mentioned that I reminded her a lot of a cousin - I just didn't know this is who she meant.) I noticed he kept staring out into the audience where we were - he looked confused. Drums are at the back of the stage. He's staring into the lights. He just couldn't make it out until towards the end of the show when the houselights came up. Backstage he later explained he KNEW his wife was in California - he had just spoke with her! There was NO WAY she could be here! Later that night as we left the concert hall, we left with Doan. Lots of fans standing around outside waiting for him. We waited with him as he signed autographs. The fans asked who we were. He just smiled at us and said "Family".
I'm thinking only true fans would have waited long enough for us to eat a sit down dinner backstage. I'm sure they had seen the latest Tull DVD - which Doan's wife IS on ... I watched the DVD the next day - I DO look a lot like her. I'm sure they went home and told somebody they met him AND his wife. Ha Ha
