I agree totally with "Toughguy" Joe is from the Democrats that I used to be. I left it years ago and became Independent, but the thing I have learned on here I might just become a full fledged Republican. I can't stand the Left. Joe is a good man. He seems right leaning because he is so honest.

He is probably from the old school of Democrats that still have some decency and class and hard left wingers can't stand it. He is a true Democrat and one of only a few left, thus the reason for recent failures. He has guts enough to say what he really means and not out just to get votes.

There is an organization called "Americans for Democratic Action." This organization lobbies Congress for every "liberal" principle one can think of. It rates members of Congress based on how they vote on the issues that liberals care about.

Joe Lieberman has been in the Senate for over 17 years and by my calculations he has averaged about 78% from ADA. Conversely, the American Conservative Union gives him an average of about 19% for how he has been voting for 17 years.

If someone votes liberally about 78% of the time and conservatively about 19% of the time, then which party should he or she join?

Because "Democrat" is the label he used to get elected, even though he has been a great friend of the corporate powers-that-be. It's guys like him that made Bill/Hillary Clinton the best Republican president we ever had.

You're brain has to be mush from drugs to call yourself a DemoCRACK. Either that, or a total pervert.

Lieberman is about the last sane person left in the Democrap party.

JFK and LBJ were hawks, and no one says they were "bad" Democrats. Mark D should get best answer on this one IMHO. He obviously did a bit of research and gave a lucid answer.

Interesting. If it's the guy I think he is, my dad would be more than willing to have him as president. And we're conservative republicans. I think he's kind of a mush mouth but I'd vote for him if my dad did.
