Sitting on my ex girlfriends sofa in Germany having a beer after getting home from work as usual her kids were watching cartoons in German then another English friend of mine sent me a text asking what the F*** is going on in the states ? a jet has just crashed in to the twin towers so put on the T.V news and thought what a terrible thing 2 happen how is this possible? with all the guidance systems that jets have now ! Not even considering the possibility it was a terror attack it still gives me goose-flesh when I see the footage shown as the second jet screams overhead and hits the other tower something I shall never forget for the rest of my life! But it all seemed very abstract until we heard that the husband of somebody we knew was working there and she could not get thru to him on his cellphone. But he was one of the lucky ones he was out of the building when it happened ! She only found out a few hours later by way of his hobby! he is a radio ham and managed to get a message relayed home via his contacts network that was great news for me ,my girlfriend and their 3 under 5 year old kids and of course his wife ! but obviously tinged with sadness for the unlucky ones at their desks when the first and of course the second jet struck what a terrible day that was ! one never to be repeated we can all hope !

Asleep. I woke at 0700 our time to hear the news on our clock radio and I thought FAAAAK! I was working at home listening to bulletins on the radio, and it wasn't until about 3 pm that it occurred to me to turn on the TV. And then of course, I saw rerun after rerun of the planes ploughing into the WTC, jumpers, twin towers collapsing and people running through the streets yelling omagad. It reminded me of a Superman comic I'd once read with an asteroid whizzing towards Earth. The people reacted the same way. Guess I would too.

I was driving my daughter and her friend to school and we heard on the radio that a plane had hit the World Trade Center. Soon after we heard that one hit the Pentagon and one hit the other tower of the World Trade Center. We watched TV all day at work and I burst out crying when the tower collapsed.

I told my daughter she would remember that day the way I remember hearing that Kennedy was shot when I was in the 5th grade.

I was in my room getting ready to go to class. I had just gotten out of the shower and finished blow-drying my hair, and the Today Show was on. Then I saw it happen and was mortified. I was freaking out, but at the same time, I was editor of my college newspaper and had to get to school and work on this story. Thankfully we had TV's in the lounge areas showing the events unfold throughout the day, so I was able to keep up and make notes. I had a yoga class to go to later in the day, but after everything I just felt exhausted and had the worst headache, so I just went home to be with my family.

I was in school in the 8th grade computer class at about 2o'clock. I was shocked because i had not heard anything about it all day and all they were showing was the planes crashin into the buildings and people running for their lifes. The cowards that attacked the world trade centers killed innocent people that were not only carring brief cases(workers) but also innocent people that were carring lunch boxes(children). The cowards didn't have enough guts about themselves to confront anyone about anything they had to hijack our airplanes kill not only the people that were on board but also the people who were working and playing, There is not enough said about the people who went in to the world trade centers trying to save the innocent peoples life that got killed like all the firefighters and the policemen. What can be said they are hereos. Its not how these hereos lived it s how they died savin other peoples life. Now we have troops over there tryin to make them pay for what the cowards did is there anyone as outraged as i am about americans forgetting about the troops that are in afganistan. Everybody is all about the iraq war. Thank u to all the men and women serving in the armed force.

I was walking in the door of a friends house to pick up her child for school and they had just told it on the news. I sat down and cried. It's the most awful thing I have witnessed so far in my life and I hope it never happens again. Hug a soldier for their willingness to put their lives in jeopardy every day so we might live here in a free country.

On my way to work listening to the radio and thinking it was a big joke. Boy was I wrong. As I got to work, people were not working, but talking and watching the news. I watched as I saw the towers go down one by one. It was the worst day of my life.
