There's a great study on finches that might interest you. The study shows how finches' beak shapes have adapted according to the types of food that was available on different islands. Remeber though, that evolution is not an active process, but more of an effect of new environmental processes and opportunities (like new food sources). As always, the better adapted individuals do a little better, have more kids, and are better represented in the next generation. Over many generations, the changes become more noticeable. It's pretty neat, really.

In the present scenario the best example would be the AIDS Virus. This virus is found to mutate continously as result no two people will have the same type of virus even if they were infected at the same time. So in a manner each of the humans acts as island for the virus like the finches. .

One simple mind experiment:
Presuming that the man is made according to the look of the God, it is justifiead to ask: Does the God have an appendix inside his intestine.
Apart from the joke, the appendix is the best proof for it - Once it was useful for a species from which a man evolved, but since it is needed no more, it has disappeared in it's original state, leaving just a small remain of it.

Good quesiton- theres a Finch on the Galapagos island that since 1840 has been kept track of. This Finch has aparently mutated so its beak is now smaller, in relation to its size of 160 years ago, caused it is believed by a significant change in food source. You can find more details online

I believe things change within it's species but never seen a bird become a dog etc. And yes, I'm aware of some microbes that change sex, etc. etc. Much DNA is common in all species. However, what make me believe that evolution is a joke is" As everything changes and "evolves"around us, mankind does not.
We started off killing "our brother" in the Bible, or eating each other in the caves, whichever you believe, and we're still killing each other today. Have we really changed?

Certainly the most-used one is a species of moth that, in England, over a period of fifty years, shifted from pale gray to dark gray. In that time, vehicular emissions had darkened the trunks of the local trees and the moths that were once pale gray to match the trunks were found and eaten by birds. The few that had been darker to begin with grew and multiplied because now it was they that matched the trunks, as opposed to their pale-faced relatives. I believe this one is the fastest and most obvious example.
