be sure he's drinking lots of water to rehydrate first of all...and to stick to bland food for 24 hours or so to let his gut rest. There are over the counter medications such as kaopectate and immodium AD that will stop the cramping/bowel movements...just be forwarned that these can cause a side effect of constipation for several days afterwards. Be sure to follow the directions on the box and don't take more than advised.

diarrhea is the bodys way of getting rid of something that is not good for it. the best thing to do is to drink plenty of clear liquids ( easy to do if you can see thru it you can drink it) this prevents dehydration and gives the colon a rest,. then after 24 hours if the diarrhea is resolved then advance to a bland diet, bananas applesauce rice toast crackers etc,. if it continues more than 24 hours or he has vomiting also he needs to see a doctor! one thing to avoid is fruit juices, as these are a natural laxative and thats one thing he doesnt need! also watermelon is the perfect food, replaces lost electrolytes, fluids, and sugars, and tastes great!

Absolutely hate when that happens but did you know, often its best just to let it, forgive the pun, run its course? It is recommended, however, to keep drinking fluids to prevent dehydration. If Pepto doesn't work, then have him eat some cheese.

see a doctor as soon as possible. if it continues, it might not be due to food... it might be a virus. he might need to be hospitalised for observation, as he's gonna be very dehydrated if it carries on this way... people can die from diarrhoea (although of course its very rare outside of rural places nowadays).
activated carbon pills might help. but i'll still suggest seeking the opinion of a doctor.

Kaopectate - - also give him some plain, cooked white rice to eat. It works like a charm - don't know why.

depends on the cause of diarrhea. If you can tell me the cause, I can be more specific. Therapies can range from simple rehydration to antibiotics

Imodium A-D. It always works, usually after first dose.
