I'd vote for him if he ran as an independent, and if John McCain would be his running mate. You're right: Powell is a beacon of honor and integrity who left an administration dripping in lies, deceit, dishonor, incompetence, corruption, hubris and avarice.
And the most honorable thing is this little-noticed fact: Powell has never once spoke out publicly about his evil superiors, nor has he ever defamed any of them in spite of all the rotten-past-the-core duplicity they've initiated. -RKO-

I additionally agree that Colin Powell might make a good president. He has possibly discovered adequate from being performed like a chump by employing Bush to circumvent the pastime like a scourge. condeleeza "pass on a paying for holiday whilst New Orleans drowns" Rice and Clarence Thomas should not be interior the positions they are in now no longer to show the presidency. Obama is 2008

It would be interesting to see a real military man running this country, instead of people like Bush and Cheney, whose early involvment in the military was more for show that an actual passion. I honestly think that a person who lived and breathed military life, who has seen the carnage that can be wrought by war, would be less inclined to send individuals into battle, unless there was truly an eminent threat. He certainly wouldn't see it as a potential profitable business venture.

Powell is one of the very few why carry the "republican" label I would consider voting for.
The fact that Powell is an honest honorable man is why he didn't last in the present administraion.

He won't run. He has some personal issues that will cause him to not accept a nomination (and are the reason he resigned as Sec. of State).

No, I would not. As Secretary of State he should not have allowed himself to be (as YOU say) duped. I do not believe he was duped. He lied just like the rest of them in order to be sure his name is in the history books. Any one that would follow G.W. Bush does not have the brains to be President.

If he ran I'd consider him. He has given many years to honorable service to his country.
However, the only consideration is the policies that he would set forth.
