My coworker and I are talking this over. Her first thought was Ray Lewis' Full Moon Grill, but I have heard some uneven reports about the service and food.
Little Italy is an amazing place in Baltimore, and there are great places in there. Della Notte and Vellegia's are the two largest and most famous. They are both excellent, but can be a bit expensive. My coworker likes Sabatino's, but I like a small place in Little Italy called Rocco Capriccio's, and there is an Italian Patiserie called Vacaro's that is out fo this world. Order the "Vesuvius" and be prepared to have your stomach explode! (but in a good way)
McCormick and Schmicks is great in the harbor, though the Rusty Scupper is more famous. There is also a Cheesecake Factory and Phillips Seafood. For those who are more lowbrow in their tastes, there is also a Hooters.
There are also lots of good places outside the city, and if you want to hear about them, please email me.

Welcome to B-more! I'd suggest these places to start:
XS
1307 N Charles St, Baltimore, 21201 - (410) 468-0002
Stylish, four floor café that serves coffee, sushi, desserts, breakfast all day, and other tidbits. It also has a full bar and a DJ on the top floor who spins on the weekends. Open late (~2 am?). Great place to hang out or grab a quick bite after clubbing. Food is good, and it’s usually busy.
Red Fish
845 S Montford Ave, Baltimore, 21224 - (443) 524-1454
Seafood is their specialty, but they have lots of other yummy menu items. A little pricey, but cozy and delicious.
The Helmand
806 N Charles St, Baltimore, 21201 - (410) 752-0311
Afghanistan food! Reasonably priced, unique and wonderful! Everyone I knows loves going here. A must-try!
Jimmy’s
801 S Broadway, Baltimore, 21231 - (410) 327-3273
The classic Baltimore diner, featured on the Food Network. Typical diner comfort food and a favorite of locals and visitors alike. Mmmm….waffles….
Bon appetit!! I hope you enjoy your time in B-more!

bypass to the interior Habor it has each and everything. it truly is giant contained in the summer specially even as the O's are taking area in. also top behind the former Powerplant (not basic Rock Cafe) is the little Italy component of Baltimore. The foodstuff is more cost effective right here and massive. prepared to be filled each and every position isn't skimpy on parts. on the seafood aspect of issues, Phillips fingers down is the perfect. You pay for that ideal too. there is distinctive crab and seafood places round. Being the interior Habor has the nationwide Aquarium there. you purchased to ascertain that! in case you do not, you'd be lacking the significant allure of Baltimore. I stay in DC and take the practice to Baltimore for day journeys contained in the summer. i love Baltimore.

Fells Point, Canton, Federal Hill, and Patterson Park. Check the Baltimore Sun's on-line restaurant and bar guide. Walk around the harbor and chat people up. Most people will point you in the right direction.

I'm not sure about restaurants, because I don't spend alot of time downtown. But, I do know that Power Plant is a good hang out spot. Also, there's a group of bars near Charles Street.
