Probably not - I'm sure he was egging him on, but you can't head butt another player.

This saddens me - Zidane comes out of retirement to help France try to win the World Cup. Not only does he get them to the finals, but when he hurt his shoulder he refused to come out of the game. What I don't understand is how such a veteran could get suckered that late into one of the two most important matches of his career (the other was when France won in 1998) and do something that got him ejected. Not only was he unavailable for the rest of the match, France also didn't have him to use for the penalty kicks - and he's one of the best in the world.
Zidane was a great player - he gave France the lead with the penalty shot early on - but he allowed his emotion to ruin what was his final moment. Yes, it will be a stain on his career.

Further to your comment about the Italians, if you watched the whole tournament and past tournaments you will find that diving is unfortunately part of the game ( i don't agree with it) But to pin point the Italians and Portuguese is rubbish. All the teams do it, in fact look at the South Americans (Brasil & Argentina) the player just has to poke them with his pinky finger and they go down. All the teams do it. Have you ever watched a game of Football?

Well it takes a lot of strength to not hit a racist Italian. Its so easy to say he shouldn't have done it, but if what the Italian dude said was some disgusting comment against his family, racial slur, or sexual comment, I say it is well deserve. Zizou paid for what he did, now that racist dude got what he deserved. Anyone with intelligence know that the Italian mafia had a plan to get Zizou out of the game and they did it with perfection. I hope the investigation that is coming out in Italy about how corrupt these Italian soccer players are will bring justice. Zizou had outplayed these overrated mafias, but he failed for their plan.
