Well, I looked this up while watching the 19-inning Red Sox-White Sox game today and found some interesting results. The Dodgers and Braves played a 26-inning 1-1 tie in 1920. The longest game that had a winner? The White Sox beat the Brewers 7-6 in 25 innings. It took 8 hours and 6 minutes--and two days (the game was suspended after 17 innings).
