All we can do is try to 'calmly' educate them on the real facts and hope they will open their minds for half a second to think about things.

Show them how to find the BBC station on their radio. The average person is, well, average. The Law of Averages means that 50% of the population falls into the middle, 25% is below average and only 25% is above average. Aside from educating the public, there is little more that you can do.
The only other option is to do what the Republican party is doing. Get them worked up with fanatical fervor. This requires a two dimensional view and lots of hate. Dems, generally, arent like this, but they should consider this tactic.

It would appear, at least from the time of recorded history, that human beings always elect or follow a leader. Always..
your boss,
your congressman
your senator
your president
your police
your army
Ok, now, you tell me, where does your thinking for yourself fit in here?
As far as thinking logically, if we all did that we wouldn't be so bad at picking leaders.
We always have somebody telling us what when,when, where and even how to do it.
So, what exactly is your question?

St. Toad, actually close to 50 % is below average and close to 50 % is above average. How the heck did you pass math class by thinking 25 % is below and 25 % is above average out of 100%? I think I'm gona have a lot of fun with you on here, genius.

I don't know what we can do about the liberals. We can't ship them away to an island somewhere, they won't listen to the truth, they can only reason within the parameters of the lies they're told and believe, there aren't even any asylums we can put them in. I don't think we can do anything about them. I suppose we just have to tolerate them.

Limit their power to make important decissions for others and themselves ,or , at lest ,minimize the risk of them causing more damage than necessary. But once this decission is made ,then we have to ask ourselves, "When did the inmates start running the assylum?"

It's already been said, but education is the key. If we wish to secure the future of this country, we must teach our children to think critically and analytically. We must also continue to educate ourselves and those around us. For those who are too addicted to the Kool-Aid and can't stop drinking it, we'll just have to go around them.
