I don`t think that Zidane is a dumb to end up his career like this

surley something Materazzi said that REALY provoked him

& when I think of something to provoke a man with an Algerian Origin..there are 2 choices...either to call his mother or his wife a b**** OR to insult his relegion. & till now media talks only about insulting islam but even if it was the other choice ..I still wouldn`t blame Zidane TOO MUCH.. but he should also complain to the FIFA although he has no witnesses

Maybe,I won't say I didn't think of that as what on earth makes Zidane do such a headbutt in his last match...also Italians were provoked against Islam intensely in the era of their former prime minister...
Anyway,we'll all have to wait to hear the truth from the two players.

I would not be surprised that Materazzi said something like that. He's a jerk. He's also one of the players being investigated for "fixing" games in Italy, I heard.

Do you realize how many bad things are said to every soccer player who has played the sport? It's a tactic to throw the player off his game. Not only does it occur in soccer but in all sports and those of you who never have played woudn't know. The strength of the player lies in not reacting and keeping focused...I have been calle many things as well as said many things at the end of the game you shake hands and congratulate who one. Some of you really need to explore the real world.

no one but those two know for sure. but i can imagine it would be something so terrible for zidane to loose his head, and head butt him like that. i sure hope it hurt materazzi, most likely he deserved it. unfortunately this will be zidanes legacy.

It doesn't matter what he said. Zidane, a world class soccer player, should never have done what he did. It was shameful and unnecessary. What a way to end a career in national football. SHAME ON YOU ZIZOU!!!

I wish the players had lapels on so that we can hear their conversations inside the field.
They cannot capture the sounds vividly like the NBA does because soccer field is much larger than that of the NBA court.

No I don't think that was the reason. A real Muslim person wouldn't do that. Besides he describes himself as a non-practicing Muslim. So I don't think that he would have cared much at all.
