my high school refuses to teach us about mussolini. i know he was an italian dictators, and dictators as we know are most of the time horrible people. but im so fascinated with history. why was mussolini so famous? what happened to him? any facts would be appreciated! i love history! lol

Mussolini was really the "Father of Fascism". The reason you probably don't and won't learn about him in your high school is because his fascist economic policies are in practice right here in the good ole USA. Read about his idea for merging the state and the corporation into one entity. If you have "Economic Development Agencies" in your area, or state that give grants to certain private industries, that is pure Mussolini fascist economics. It is a very dangerous trend that our local, state, and federal governments are allowing to take hold. Suppose I wanted to dissent against any of these levels of government: they could conceivably give grant money and even land, and other properties such as machinery to a competitor of mine who would have virtually no operating expenses and could therefore silence me by putting me out of business. This is very dangerous.
