1. male or female gender: either of the two reproductive categories, male or female, of animals and plants.
2. intercourse: sexual intercourse.
3. sexual behavior: sexual activity or behavior leading to it.
4. genitals: the genitals (literary).
5. biology reproductive characteristics: the set of characteristics that determine whether the reproductive role of an animal or plant is male or female.

Sex refers to the male and female duality of biology and reproduction, a process in biological DNA that dates back 4.6 - 3.5 billion years. DNA links back in an unbroken series of sexual reproduction taking forward information to present day. The somewhat similar term gender has more to do with identity than biology. The concept is confined to organisms that reproduce sexually.

The female sex is definitely defined as the one which produces the larger gamete (i.e., reproductive cell) and which typically bears the offspring. The category of sex reflects the biological reproductive function, rather than sexuality or other behaviors. In some animals, sex may be assigned to specific structures rather than the entire organism as some species, such as earthworms, are normally hermaphroditic.

If you still don't get it ask your parents like what the people before me(or above my answer) answered to your question.

Well, in the case of animals, sex (or sexual intercourse) is mainly to produce offspring. They do it during breeding season and some months later, their offspring is born.

For humans, God gave use the gift of sex not just to produce offspring (sons and daughters) but also to enjoy the pleasure that it brings. Thus, humans can have sex any time of the year, not just during breeding season.

The condition attached to that is that, one should only have sex with one's husband or wife after one is married. In fact, sex is like a Christmas gift - just like a Christmas gift is'nt as much fun if you open it before Christmas, sex is not enjoyed as much if you are'nt married before you do it. However, a lot of people do have sex before marriage and end up screwing up their lives.

Please don't be one of them.

You mean, is sex love? No, not by itself. With the right person, it's part of love. The real question is, what does love mean?
