The song is called "American Pie" and it is by Don McLean. In the 90's, Madonna made a re-make of the song for her film "The Next Best Thing". It was dedicated to the day where the headlines read "The day the music died" in which Buddy Holly, the singer of "La Bamba", and another musician died in a plane crash.
