just spent a fortune in resin and cloth for my fiberglass deck, was going to use a laytex paint over the top? do i really have to buy some expensive "deck coating" or can i use some acrilic laytex paint? thanks

Sure you can use the inexpensive Latex paint or whatever you want. But I really don't think you want to re-paint every other year - do you?
You spent a great amount of effort thus far - keep up the great work...
I recommend using Awlgrip or Imron paints - as we do in the marine industry...
It will be beautiful and last 15 years

I don't know about the deck, but for fiberglass doors they recommend a gel stain.
