What's your idea of language? Is it only spoken? Is it written? Does it involve gestures and facial expressions? Or, does it include a person's actions. We communicate all the time, no matter what we are doing and we only stop when we die. A baby's language is simple and only increases with others' responses to him/her. Watch a person who is in a mostly vegatative state. Their eye gaze is incredibly eloquent and can give you insight into their soul if you just stop and "listen". The language of humans is a beautiful ballet of our words, actions, expressions and feelings.

No. Much of communication involves body language, including facial expressions, hand gestures, shoulder shrugging as well as voice inflection.

For instance, the words "oh yeah, right" can be taken as confirmation, a question, sarcastically, or off-handedly, in some of its translations, depending on facial expressions and voice inflection.

Only a very good writer can express these ideas with just words.

I think language is a very powerful tool but there are certain things that happen to us that we cannot find words to describe. Some things so powerful, life changing and inexplicable there are no words for them.
