I hate when you bid on a item and people have their friends or themselves running the price up on the item that is no fun. You know that it is happening because it happens to soon after you bid. I usually put in my highest bid and let that work for me and if it doesn't then I am okay with that.
http://www.amazon.com
will locate items for low prices and you can purchase without any headaches.

I have had mostly good experiences selling and buying on eBay. Only once or twice, someone didn't pay me and I reported them to eBay.
A co-worker of my husband's had a bad experience, but that was her own fault - the item was $2 but the shipping was $20 (it was for a book!) and she refused to pay. The seller was not really playing fair making the shipping so high, but she should have read all the fine print before submitting her bid.
A good way to ensure you have a good eBay experience (as a buyer) is to make your purchases through PayPal - NEVER send cash through the mail. And, as in everything else in life....if it seems too good to be true (all those 1-cent items), it probably is (read the shipping charges BEFORE bidding!!). Good luck.

I bought a piccolo from ebay when I was in tenth grade and it was a cheap piece of crap when I got it. The person who sold it to me used shills to get the price way up there as well. The worse part was the person got my phone number off of ebay and called my house at two in the morning asking for me. My dad answered the phone when this happened. He asked who was calling and the guy wouldn't tell him who it was for about twenty minutes. I was freaked out and my heart was racing cause it was two in the morning and the guy wouldn't say who he was, but then we figured it out and reported him to ebay.

I have bought objects several times where the seller just hasnt sent the goods and were adamnat that they had.
I have also had fakes sold as the real thing or sellers sending damaged goods. At its worst Ebay is agreat place for the crook or the man who wants to unload crap

I got cheated once. I bought a DVD, but the seller (who had lots of high feedback) - didn't ship it out. I know because at that same time - the seller got lots of negative feedback on all his items he was selling at that time. I'm guessing he wanted to cheat people out of money and knew he could sell stuff he didn't even have cause of his high feedback. He did this to like 30 people. Luckily I was only out like $15, but he also sold some expensive bike part to someone.

Ebay will remove your listing if it feels its bad - like maybe you selling a fake, They dont know if it really is so they play judge jury and executioner with your items without a real trial...
I've also sold items that sold fior way higher than I thought they would.
