i have one now... looking for another owner who wants to breed theirs with mine. are you interested? the pebbles can be so cute!

re: your Additional Details

you sound somewhat offended. why? we know what a pet rock is, and the link you provided supports what we know. what does "Tell me about it." mean? do you want deep psychological answers from some poor soul who found salvation through the friendship he had with his pet rock? as the link YOU provided indicates, the Pet Rock is a novelty item intended for recreational purposes. it was a silly question which received some silly and some honest (while still being silly) answers. what did you expect?

Yes, when I was 11 years old. But I quickly got bored with it as I had pet animals too. I'm not sure what happened to it, I had a collection of rocks and minerals then so I'm not sure why I choose to designate that one as a 'pet'. I may have returned it to the wild or maybe I just abandoned it to fend for itself in my room!

Definately yes, except for the ones I stole. I had quite a collection for a time until they started running away, probably cuz I didn't feed any of them and a few of them died. Eventually, I got bored with the ones that actually stayed, and threw them away.

Yes, back in the 1970s when I was a hippie. It attacked me while I was sleeping and now I don't have any arms or legs. It's mother was a boulder and she said she had no control over what her kid did. I tried to sue for damages.

Yes, I had one when I was four years old. I could barely lift it and wheeled it around in a red wagon. I even slept with it. My dad became so annoyed that he took it and threw it in the cement when he was putting up a new fence. I remember crying when I woke up and it was gone, my mom even made him appologize.
