keep the area clean and dry...and open to air if you can. Powders can help...gold bond is a good one. Hydrocortisone cream will help with the itching. Heat rash is usually brought on my moisture and heat....and is actually a very mild fungal infection..if you find that you continue to get it in a particular area, you can use the gold bond to keep it dry or even try and over the counter antifungal (such as one used to treat athlete's foot).

You may have a different type of excessive sweating called secondary (or generalized) hyperhidrosis.
This means that your symptoms may be due to an underlying medical condition or disease (e.g., nerve damage or a hormone disorder), or due to a side effect of a medication you are taking. Talk to your doctor.

To solve heat rash under breast. Do not put any lotion under your breast. Put a thin layer of Vaseline under your breast. This will hold the Gold Bond Powder you will use next. Shake off excess powder. This will clear up the rash. I have been using this method for over 20 years. I had the same problem every summer.

Dont put any soothing creams on without cleaning the area first as you rubbing in the infection and clearing it away. get a bowl of coldish not hot water and some cotton wool dab it over the area then apply the cream. if your baby is uncomfortable place an ice pack on the area this may hurt though. you can buy cool strips for things like this. if in a day or two if its still there and has got worse go and see your GP or chemist for advice.
