Why do Conservatives hate Democracy?

We don't! I hate communism and socialism and I do not like dictators! A lot of liberal college professors teach about how great socialism is. Liberal activist Harry Belafonte visits and gives support to murderous dictator Hugo Chavez, Jimmy Carter and some Hollywood liberals visit communist dictator Castro and talk glowingly about him while his people suffer, Harry Byrd democrat Senator for West Va was a former klans man and you have the audacity to say these things? I love America and I believe in my country and what it stands for! I made some very truthful and valid points. Stereotyping conservatives is neither honest or true.

You have it backwards - conservatives don't hate democracy. They believe in limited government functions and maximized individual responsibility. It is liberals that are inherently elitist in that they think they know what is better for individuals than the individual does. It is liberals that institute programs which force people to be dependent upon government. Check your history - it is usually leftists that end up as dictators.

Conservatives are against the government spending and growth that has recently become fashionable under this president. Although they run the congress and white house, they would have nobody to plot against if there was no opposition.

This country was FOUNDED as a republic.
I don't hate democracy...but I do prefer to live my life without a goverment that DICTATES to me how I should live my life and how to spend my hard earned dollars which is exactly where the democrats would like to lead "the herd".

not just the tories mate, thats any partys ultimate dream, lol to the answer above, leftys like general marcos, saddam hussien and adolf hitler? there are just as many right wing dictators as there are left wing, and the actions of dictators are far more right than left, and for the comment below, with left wing governments in china, britain and russia theres three of the 5 major nations to the left, that leaves amerca and france, you think the republicans will get back for another term? i dont
