Materazzi must have said something very offensive. Zidane is known to be such a good sport. Materazzi must have really hit a sore spot. While I'm glad Italy won, I'm very sad what Zidane had done - it's very sad even if Materazzi was being a jerk.

Matterazzi deserved it! If u check the video u'll notice that matterazzi insulted zizou, but he ignored it, the he did again, and Zidane couldnt take it anymore, i mean...is a human being just like us!he was tired of playin'..i would have done the same in that situation!ZIDANE YOU'RE THE BEST!And he won the golden ball anyways...so who cares

Matterazzi had some things to say about his mother and his sister and other things that got to him bad. This was said by the Legend himself in an interview. He had all the right and the ******* ities didn't deserve to win.. Afterall, Zidane is one of the greatest names in soccer history, why attack him in such an un professional matter...

Materazzi must have insulted Zidane really bad. bezause Zidane wasn't even angry and he was going away from Materazzi and he was even smiling. but whatever Materazzi said, made him really angry and he came back and attacked to Materazzi. I think Materazzi deserved a red card even more than Zidane.and do not insult Muslims Dragomiron. we should respect all religions.

be cause the italian player described zidane as a touririst. what zidane did is just defending his hounor and gave a good lesson to that italian stupid. zidane is the best

Zidane head-butted Matarrazi because he made comments about his mother and sister, and not because he made comments about being a terrorist..as for some people...grow up and stop referring to them as "damn muslims.."...
first he grabbed his shirt, then he wouldn't leave him alone..it's jus another dirty trick from italy ...mind games... i think the refs should've actually investigated....yellow card would've been okay...but i think matarrazi should've been sent off too... funny head butt though =P

Matterazzi had said rude comments about his religion which was not acceptable.It was funny and Matterazzi deserved that 4 sure.GOOD JOB ZIDANE!!!!!!:):):):)
