it is the accumulation of dirt, dust, second hand smoke,pollen, and other crap in the air that passes through your proboscis as you in hail. it collects on the lining of your nose and sinuses. when it is time to get rid of it, the crap you have inhaled collects in and on the mucus, and walla. you have what we commonly call snot. so get out your hanky and give a blow, you will breath better.
