Sure it does because of the blend. A cake is made of milk, eggs, and sugar, but becomes something else wonderful when mixed together and baked. We're that cake. A mix of cultures brought about Jazz and that's uniquely American. Jazz led to rock and roll, R&B, and hiphop.

The melting pot that is America definitely has its own culture. To simply define that entity in specific terms would diminish what America stands (or "should stand", depending on who you're talking to) for. Our nation is built on the foundations of the worlds people. We represent a cultural mix and understanding (most of us anyway) that no other nation can match.
That being said, the best way to represent our culture is through accomplishment, invention, and ingenuity. Music for one is a great example of this. Rock and Roll, Jazz, Hip Hop...these are all pure American inventions. Each of these entities represents a cultural drive propelled into an art form. Rock and Roll reflects the nations rebellious roots and its desire to truly be free. Jazz represents a movement towards pure individualism and uniqueness, born and bred through an ancestral foundation (read up on the true foundations of jazz if you're interested in this). Hip Hop, in its many forms, brings to light the true culture of the streets, both in beauty and horror.
The bottom line is this: American culture has so many faces, sometimes people fail to see that it truly exists. Don't be fooled by the hatred and discrimination that's running rampant these days...American culture is alive and thriving. Rather than following the culture portrayed in the media, take a closer look at the people you see everyday. Ethnicity aside, everyone plays a part in American culture...you just don't always pay attention.
Go Capitalism!!

The USA is unique. It has a distinct culture and counter-culture. Americans are by far the most patriotic people on earth. Americans profess God, Mom, Chevrolet and Apple Pie. Broadway has made a distinct cultural impression throughout the world. Some of the finest architecture, engineers, music, is distinctly American and it influences the entire earth. There are cultures within the culture, but Americans stand united when their backs are against the wall. (Even when they have to stand beside GWB) .. lol ... Good Luck !

America has always had a culture but traditionally it has been Folk Culture, ergo the culture of the common man and country boy and a can do mentality.
Today that culture is dictated by the market place which is why Americans need to have a greater concern for the arts and culture which influences everything from manners & ettiquette to ethics & morals.

The answer is in the question. We are a blend of different nations which makes us a unique culture. Our nation is free and always has been, which also makes us unique. But what really sets us apart is in that freedom is capitalism, and our freedom to exercise that right has definitly set us apart from the rest of the world.

When you move abroad you really recognize what it means to be American. We do have a culture seperate from any other culture, though strongly influenced by many cultures. Some of it is something to be proud of, some of it is something to hang our heads in shame and resignation about.
We also have very different cultures from one area in the US to the next. I'm from Louisiana, and I can tell you we are very different from the rest of the country, but we share something that makes us all American. It is difficult to put a finger on, but it exists.

Think about the term culture as used in horticulture.... It is comprised of nutrients in the soil, the amount of rainfall a plant may receive in a given time, the temperature, the amount of sunlight that it receives. Culture is merely the composite of factors which have an effect on one's life.
Culture to humans is a continuum of internal and even external, social perceptions.

I think America has the most diverse culture than any other country look how it was founded, by the british who in then called themselves americans, then you have the indians who already lived here, then everybody started immigrating here from everywhere france, englad, scotland, ireland, italy and as well as they brought africans over here as slaves unfotunately they were brought here that way but now they have a big cultural influence now, also you have asian, mexican, russian so I'd say we have a little bit of the world everywhere here in America.

i do no longer think of any lifestyle is quite superficial. yet what you talk over with may be accounted for by employing Weber's concept of rationalisation and forms, or what Ritzer refers to by way of fact the 'McDonaldization' of society. there has been an significant develop, the two by way of fact the 18th century and a great quantity interior the 20 th century, in ends-orientated rationality, specific interior of employer and enterprises. This rationalisation manifests itself as forms, which comprises a hierarchy of workers, all with the same end-orientated purpose, and each with particular initiatives to end. whether it quite is somewhat valuable, Weber pointed out that it quite is an 'iron cage', in that it restricts the guy from creativity or spontaneity interior of their artwork (and for the shoppers of those products), when you consider that they have such particular initiatives to end. i might desire to pass on, yet i visit go away it at that for now.
